The Marvel of the Mind
From crawling to stumbling
Then walking and running
The processes one goes through
From infant to toddler
It looks so natural
Yet the mind picks up the learning
Progressing each step
Through the many mistakes made
Through the know-hows learnt.
Same goes with the spiritual journey
To think that all minds
Can work from the effect
Does not seem possible
But to this deluded mind in the past
It heard, it thought it understood
It tried, it did many things
It failed miserably
Hey, that’s learning too!
It’s part and parcel of growth.
Grace brought it to this journey
With teacher’s `incessant’ sharings
So much needed for minds
Covered with dust
Deluded and still unclear
Slowly and gradually
The fog clears
Some light can stream in.
Through learnings from sharings
The mind picks up
Slightly more each time
The mind rejoices
So how can one say?
I know when knowing is not complete
It seems easy but it is a process
Of unravelling the tangled knots
That have trapped the deluded mind
From seeing reality
But wallowing in concepts
Time to wake up friends!
It’s not to fix or solve
But in watching with fascination
The workings of the mind
With its fabrications and deceptions
Which are but nature
Displaying the wonders
Of how it works
Not good or bad
But misunderstood.
Nothing is ever wrong
But misperception
In seeing,
With right information
With willingness, curiosity and interest,
The biggest mystery will solve on its own
When we keep returning to the causes,
For the small effects
To ripple into the grand effect.
We can’t help but marvel
At what the mind can do,
Between ignorance and wisdom,
It’s a shift of perception.
So can it be done?
Yes and no
When there is inherent wisdom
Which some minds may have
Then it seems easy
But for most minds
It is a process of learning
Starting with right information
Backed by 3-Meditator’s Job
All the way
Until the fruit ripens
When causes and conditions are met
To realize that all are just
But mind-made
In grace,
